Publix recalls 13 ground beef products that might have packaging material in the beef

Publix made a not-food-in-your-food recall of 13 kinds of Publix and Greenwise ground beef products after finding there’s a “potential of inadvertent packaging material in the products.”

This covers Market Ground Beef with a sell-by date of Thursday and, with a Friday sell-by date: Lean Ground Beef (7% fat); Ground Chuck Burgers; Ground Round (15% fat); Ground Sirloin (10% fat); A/B Ground Sirloin (10% fat); A/B Lean Ground Beef (7% fat); A/B Ground Chuck (20% fat); A/B Ground Round (15% fat); Ground Round Burgers; Greenwise Ground Beef (92% lean); Greenwise Ground Chuck (20% fat).

Now, the good news about this recall: It covers ground beef products made on one day, Wednesday, at one store, Plant City Crossing, 25415 Thonotosassa Rd., in Plant City.

If you have these any of the above ground beef products in your refrigerator or freezer, return them to the store for a refund.
