145,800 units of candy have been recalled after a 7-year-old girl choked to death

Six months after a 7-year-old girl in New York choked to death, KGR Distribution and Cocco Candy on Thursday recalled about 145,800 units of Cocco Candy Rolling Candy.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says: “The candy’s rolling ball can dislodge from the product into a child’s mouth, posing a choking hazard or death.”

That’s what the CPSC says happened in April to the girl. She died after the ball got stuck in her throat, blocking her breathing.
