Heads up, moms and dads — 113,000 toddler towers recalled after kids got head injuries
Nothing you buy in a toy store should threaten to give your toddler a head injury. That’s why Simplay3 recalled 113,962 Toddler Towers in the United States and Canada.
“The towers can tip over while in use posing fall and injury hazards to young children,” the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall notice states.
And, the notice says, Simplay3 knows about 16 tipovers, 10 of which injured kids. Six of those injuries were head contusions.
The Toddler Towers act as a standing stepladder for young kids.
This covers model Nos. 41807-01 (espresso), 41807-02 (gray) and 41807-03 (white), all with date codes from Nov 2018 through June 2023. Contact the firm to receive a free set of stabilizing bases to be attached to the toddler tower.
They were sold on Target.com, Walmart.com, Amazon.com, Simplay3’s website and other online sites. Among the brick-and-mortar toy stores selling the towers were Midstates, Fun Stuff and Buttercup Baby Store.
Simplay3 wants customers to contact them for free stabilizing bases to attach to the tower.
To do that or to get questions about the recall answered, contact Simplay3 online or at 866-855-0100, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Eastern time.
