Here’s why 96,000 pounds of imported goat meat has been recalled across the United States
About 96,624 pounds of bone-in goat cubes and cuts have been recalled after making it from Australia to U.S. stores and possibly restaurants without being inspected by the USDA.
The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service’s recall notice says: “The problem was discovered during routine FSIS surveillance activities of imported products at retail stores.”
