Check your restaurant’s high chairs — 22,000 got recalled. Some broke, and kids fell
Restaurant owners and customers with infants and toddlers should check out the high chairs in use. Clark Associates recalled 22,452 high chairs sold under the Lancaster Table & Seating brand Thursday.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall alert notice says simply, “The high chairs can break, posing a fall hazard to children.”
There are three reports of the chairs breaking while in use.
This covers already assembled model Nos. 164HIGHCBK, 164HIGHCMO, 164HIGHCNAT and assembly required model Nos. 164HIGHCKDBK, 164HIGHKDMO, 164HIGHCKDNT. Model No. 164HIGHCWN was sold both ways. They came in Natural, Black, Mahogany and Walnut. Only models made in China are involved. They were sold online and in the brick-and-morter locations of The Restaurant Store the first nine months of 2022.
Clark Associates is offering either a replacement or a store credit. If you can get to a location of The Restaurant Store, return the chairs there. If not, contact Clark for instructions on how to trash the chairs then send a photo of destroyed chairs to Clark.
