Mickey Mouse and Buzz Lightyear might choke your child? Over 16,000 Disney toys recalled

The threat of beloved Disney characters choking toddlers and preschoolers caused Kids Preferred to recall 16,740 “My First” Disney character figurines Thursday.

As the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall notice explains, “The arms or legs on the figurines can detach, posing a small part choking hazard to children.”

Though Kids Preferred knows of 10 times the limbs came off, the company hasn’t received any reports of children choking on them.

This covers 4.25-inch to 5.25-inch figurines of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse (in red and pink), Buzz Lightyear and Stich.
