Recalls

About 187,000 toddler sensory books have been recalled for a choking hazard

Touchy-feely books for kids shouldn’t also involve choking. That’s why Scholastic recalled 187,200 Shake Look Touch books in the United States and Canada.

The exact problem, as stated in the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall notice: “The pom poms on the book can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.”

Though Scholastic says it knows of two pom-poms coming off the books, no choking has occurred yet.
