Here’s what you need to know:

Why is this bubble bath being recalled?

This recall followed Babyganics finding Pluralibacter gergoviae in two lots.

“During internal testing related to product shelf life across the Babyganics bubble bath line, it was discovered that two specific lot numbers of this product contained the bacterium,” the recall notice stated. “While infants may be more susceptible than adults, Pluralibacter gergoviae does not usually cause healthy individuals to become sick.

“However, it may pose a risk of infection to those who are immunocompromised or have broken or irritated skin, such as diaper rash.”

What should parents or caregivers do?

You can either toss the bottles of infant bubble bath in the trash; return it to the store of purchase for a full refund; or go to the Babyganics website to get a refund from the company.

If you experience a medical problem, contact a medical professional. Then, let the FDA know via its MedWatch Adverse Event page or by filling out a form you can get by calling 800-332-1088. Or, you can call a consumer complaint coordinator at the appropriate number for your state.

Then, notify the manufacturer, in this case Babyganics at 833-359-6304.
