An Easter cookie house kit left off a crucial label on its packaging. It’s now been recalled.

Wilton Industries, Inc., an Illinois-based company, voluntarily recalled a cookie kit on March 25 because it left an allergen off the packaging, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The “Ready to Build Chocolate Cookie Bunny Hutch Kit” didn’t say it contained a milk allergen in the “Contains” statement on the package. It listed “Skim Milk Powder” as an ingredient but didn’t state “Milk” in the allergen label.

“People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or lifethreatening allergic reaction if they consume these products,” the company said in a recall announcement posted to the FDA’s website.

The cookie kits were distributed nationally ahead of the 2022 Easter season. The item was also sold in Colombia.

The company was made aware of the mistake after someone who bought the product asked about it.

“To date, no illness has been reported due to an allergic reaction to milk,” the company said.
