Early voting has now closed in Florida for the 2024 general election. Election Day is Nov. 5, just a day away.

While there’s no way to tell exactly how people voted until after the polls close on Election Day, each county’s Department of Elections reports how many registered voters have already voted and which parties they are registered under.

In Miami-Dade, over 800,000 people have already cast their votes.

In Broward, over 680,000 people have voted.

In Monroe, over 30,000 people have voted.

Meanwhile, over 8 million people have already voted across Florida.

Party affiliation in Florida

As of October, Republicans had a five percentage-point advantage over registered Democrats in Florida in terms of voter registration numbers.

That number has been rapidly increasing in recent years. In August 2022, the advantage was less than one percentage point. Those numbers include both active and inactive voters, who are still eligible to vote.

Correction: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated the Republican advantage in Florida as “almost seven percentage points”; the percentage-point difference is five.
