With the National Weather Service warning of “life-threatening wind chills,” former President Donald Trump and his opponents seeking the Republican presidential nomination are traversing frozen Iowa ahead of Monday evening’s caucuses.
Republican voters, who will gather at 7 p.m. CT on Monday in precincts across Iowa to caucus for their preferred candidates, are bundling up to get to events to see the contenders, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. Polls suggest Trump should cruise to victory here, with second place up for grabs, but the dangerous weather has thrown an element of unpredictability into the mix.
