Read it for yourself: Courts release more documents in the FBI search of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago
More documents were unsealed in the federal case involving former President Donald Trump and his Mar-a-Lago estate.
Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart ordered the Justice Department in a Thursday hearing to prepare redactions to the affidavit that led to the FBI search of Mar-a-Lago by Aug. 25.
Reinhart is not convinced the entire document could be sealed but has given the government another chance as the Justice Department says its disclosure could lead to “significant and irreparable damage.”
Until then, all parties in the hearing agreed to unseal cover sheets that were filed with the original search warrant and the government’s motion to seal the initial warrant.
The new documents reveal three possible offenses: willful retention of national defense information, concealment or removal of government records and obstruction of a federal investigation.
