Turns out “if it’s too good to be true, then it probably is” isn’t just a cliche, but an actual law to protect retailers.

HP’s United Kingdom website listed a laptop with an original price of 2,376 pounds ($3,138) as 1.58 pounds ($2.09) on Saturday. When the brand realized the error, the UK website was temporarily shut down, according to the BBC.

It has since been restored, but the listing for the particular laptop — the ZBook 17 G2 Mobile Workstation — hadn’t reappeared as of Monday morning.

HP said it would not be honoring the price for those who had managed to buy the laptop at the low cost.

“We can confirm that due to a processing error, select products were wrongly priced on our UK website over the weekend,” HP said in a statement. “This has now been corrected with related orders canceled.”

According to the U.K. consumer rights group Citizens Advice, it’s legal for them to take back the offer.

“They’ll only be able to cancel it if it was a genuine and honest mistake on their part that you should’ve noticed,” the website states.

HP will be refunding the customers.

BBC reported that only a “handful” of people posted on social media that they had tried to take advantage of the error.
