Swedish cop in a bikini takes down would-be thief

Perhaps the homeless guy in the Stockholm park saw his potential theft victim as just another Swedish woman in a bikini. His bad.

The team the woman belonged to wasn’t the fictional Swedish Bikini Team, but law enforcement. And, worse for the guy, with her was another cop, Mikaela Kellner: Swedish Ninja Warrior participant, Toughest Competitor Alive participant, powerlifter, Cross Fitter. So, when the guy tried to swipe the woman’s cell phone...

The Wednesday post had 10,372 likes as of 11 a.m. Friday. Media around the world scooped it up, giving Kellner worldwide recognition among those who didn’t already know her from the aforementioned competitions.

According to Instagram’s translation of her post, Kellner wrote, “Tough luck for this guy that he just happened to steal (from) two cops!! My first intervention wearing a bikini in my 11 years as a police officer!! Pretty fun and cozy, I must say!!”

Kellner’s post says when they wouldn’t buy the newspapers the homeless guy was selling, he tried to steal the cell phone by putting his newspapers over the phone and walking off with the phone hidden in the pile.

Obviously, the man never got a look at Kellner’s YouTube page, either.
