Kate Middleton shares photo of herself taken by son Prince Louis for World Cancer Day
Less than a month after revealing she is in remission, Kate Middleton is honoring others impacted by cancer.
On Feb. 3, Middleton took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share a photo of herself that her youngest child, 6-year-old Prince Louis, took.
She shared the picture in honor of World Cancer Day, which takes place Tuesday, Feb. 4.
“Don’t forget to nurture all that which lies beyond the disease,” the princess captioned the picture.
“World cancer day is an international day observed every 4 February to raise awareness about cancer, encourage its prevention, and mobilise action to address the global cancer epidemic,” the day’s official website says.
“The day is led by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) and was established in the year 2000.”
The photo shows Middleton standing among trees while standing on a large cut down tree stump.
“What a beautiful picture,” a commenter wrote. “We wish you, Your Royal Highness, good health.”
On Jan. 14, while visiting The Royal Marsden, Middleton updated the world.
In an Instagram post, she wrote, “I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well during the past year. My heartfelt thanks goes to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything.”
“It is a relief to now be in remission,” she shared, “and I remain focused on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal.”
“I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.”
Middleton finished her chemotherapy treatments in September.
She has never publicly disclosed the form of cancer she treated for ten months.
