The South Florida community — home to the largest Venezuelan diaspora in the United States — is rallying to deliver humanitarian aid to Venezuela after two powerful earthquakes devastated the country Wednesday evening.

The earthquakes, measuring at magnitudes 7.2 and 7.5 and occurring just 39 seconds apart, struck Venezuela’s coast around 6 p.m. Wednesday, causing widespread destruction.

Local, national and international organizations quickly mobilized to collect monetary donations and urgently needed supplies.
