Once a month, Haitian parents of children with heart conditions come to a free clinic run by the Haiti Cardiac Alliance at St. Damien Hospital in Tabarre in hopes of getting medical help. The alliance says it has about 200 children who need passports and other government documents so they can travel outside of Haiti for life-saving heart surgery.
