Postcard from Miami to Havana — how long will delivery take?

Postal service to Cuba resumed on Wednesday after a hiatus for nearly half a century. So just how long will it take for a postcard from Miami to reach its destination in Havana?

To find out, we mailed out a simple postcard.

The U.S. Postal Service attendant did not flinch at the request. She simply pulled out an international stamp, charged the $1.20 fee y ya.

Now we wait.

By Wednesday afternoon, the first shipment of U.S. correspondence and packages arrived at the José Martí International Airport, Cuban press reported.

We doubt our postcard made that flight.

But we’ll keep you posted.
