The Coast Guard on Friday returned 57 Cuban migrants who were caught trying to leave the island on unsafe vessels.
The migrants were intercepted at sea in three separate instances, according to the Coast Guard. They were repatriated to Bahia de Cabañas.
This year, the Coast Guard reports that 4,462 migrants have attempted to leave Cuba by sea.
