Video shows ‘El Chapo’ prison break from his Mexican cell

Mexican government officials released a video Wednesday that showed how Mexican drug lord Joaquín Guzmán Loera escaped from Mexico’s highest-security prison last weekend.

In the video, “El Chapo’’ is seen crouching behind a wall that gives prisoners privacy during showering - then he is gone. Mexican authorities discovered a hole in the shower floor and 30 feet beneath the hole, a mile-long tunnel equipped with lighting and ventilation. At the other end of the tunnel there was a hole in the ground at a construction site.
