This just might be the first time in humankind that anyone has ever FaceTimed a deer.

But that’s what Kelvin Pena did on Wednesday while he was in the chair at the barber shop.

No word on who was holding the cell phone for the deer on the other end.

It was just another day for Pena and his growing deer “squad,” the family of deer that have become regular visitors to his backyard in Pennsylvania.

Over the last few weeks Pena has posted videos of the visits to his Twitter account, @COLDGAMEKELV, and is now known to the thousands who have watched them as the “Deer Whisperer.”

They’ve even watched Pena play basketball with the deer.

“Who else has a pet deer,” he asks in one video, the awe clear in his voice.

He’s named the deer. Money. Tequila. Bambi. Lola. Canela — Spanish for cinnamon.

“This friendship seems as legit as it gets,” writes E! News. “Think of it like Taylor Swift her squad, or Sleeping Beauty and her gaggle of forest friends.”

About a month ago, Pena moved to East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, from Texas, according to Motherboard. Money was the first deer to come calling; he’s now Pena’s “best friend.”

“I was like, I’m going to try to feed him,” Pena told Motherboard. “Because usually deer just run away.

“They’re not scared of me. That’s why we have a connection.”

Pena posted videos of himself feeding Money crackers and powdered mini-donuts until people on Twitter told him to stop doing that because deer eat more natural stuff in the wild like twigs and greens.

Pena didn’t hide his excitement to be so up close and personal with the animals.

“We be lit out here, man,” he says in one video. “We love the woods.”

He heeded the advice about the food and switched to a healthier snack time for the deer.

“There’s not that much negativity thrown at me,” he told Motherboard. “Once in awhile, people will say, feed him some healthy things. But I already know.”

Now Pena has launched a campaign to raise money to feed Money and his family members.

His slogan? “Everybody Eats.”
