A luxury container home with a lake view near Seattle could be yours — although you’ll need to put in some work.
The three-bedroom, three-bathroom home built with repurposed shipping containers sits on about 4.6 acres near Paradise Lake in the Woodinville area.
It’s partway done, with “the structure built and roofed, septic installed, rooms framed and interior partially finished,” the listing said. But other work is needed, including flooring, fixtures and more, listing broker Michael Perrone of the Perrone Group told The Olympian by phone.
“It’s a perfect place for someone to take over,” Perrone said. “(They) can come in and make it their own and finish it to their taste.”
The home is listed for $1.2 million. That’s a great price for entry into the sought-after Paradise Lake area, Perrone said.
The secluded property offers “quiet country living,” per the listing, yet it’s also close to downtown Woodinville and Redmond.
It’s in King County, about a 25-mile drive northeast from Seattle and about an 80-mile drive northeast from Olympia.
The property recently was featured on the Zillow Gone Wild Instagram account.
Along with the main house, the property has “an attached ‘secondary suite’ with its own bedroom, living space, kitchen and bathroom,” plus a covered carport and a small barn, according to the listing.
When the owners bought the land, it wasn’t clear whether it was buildable, Perrone said.
But they found a good spot for a home and made progress before their goals changed and they decided to move on, Perrone told The Olympian.
Perrone sees the property as ideal for “someone who likes taking on these kinds of projects — they see the potential and the fun of taking on the work.”
It’s also ideal for a buyer specifically looking for a home near Paradise Lake, he said.
Perhaps “they want to live here, in this area, but it’s difficult to find a modern home, to find something they like…(with this home), someone’s done a lot of hard work for them and they get to come in and make it look how they want it to look,” Perrone said.
The home is at 24320 119th Ave. SE.
