Kevin Jonas’ wife in tears after he nervously performs 1st Jonas Brothers solo
On Saturday, Aug. 23, the Jonas Brothers took the stage in Boston, Massachusetts, for their “JONAS20: Greetings from Your Hometown Tour.”
This particular tour is a celebration of Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas’ work over the years. And in a surprise turn of events, the Jonas Brothers, namely Kevin Jonas, surprised the crowd at Fenway Park when the 37-year-old took the mic for the first time.
As Nick Jonas introduced his older brother, fans went wild despite still being unsure why he was standing onstage alone. “I think it’s time for something extra special tonight,” Nick Jonas said as he stood up from his piano. “Ladies and gentlemen, please make some noise for Kevin Jonas.”
As he began playing his acoustic guitar, Kevin Jonas told his fans that he’s “super nervous. So bear with me.” Watch the entire performance below:
As Kevin Jonas began singing and playing a song he wrote, the crowd went wild as Nick and Joe Jonas watched from the wings. His younger brothers gave Kevin a congratulatory hug at the end of his performance, as the crowd began chanting his name.
“Where do we go from here,” Joe Jonas said as the stadium continued to erupt with adoration for Kevin Jonas.
The performance quickly went viral on social media with fans urging Kevin Jonas to record and drop the song on streaming services.
Shortly after the special moment was seen around the world, Kevin’s wife, Danielle Jonas, shared a video of herself supporting her husband in the crowd.
“Last night was a moment I will never forget,” Danielle Jonas, who shares two daughters with the singer, wrote as the video showed her with tears in her eyes as she smiled watching her husband on the stage. “Hearing you sing your own song and watching your voice fill the stadium brought me to tears.”
“I am beyond proud of you, Kevin Jonas and I’m so grateful that everyone else finally got to hear the voice I’ve loved for so long,” she continued.
“My forever,” Kevin Jonas wrote in the comment section of his wife’s post.
“Why am I crying,” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi of the “Jersey Shore” also wrote in the comments as other fans added that getting to hear Kevin Jonas sing “was better than any guest” surprise.
Kevin Jonas also took to his own Instagram page to share a photo of himself performing the surprise solo during soundcheck. “Thank you, Fenway! Will never forget this night,” he wrote.
