A bloodhound tracked a missing woman’s scent for miles and found her in a swampy area of a reservoir, Connecticut officials said.

On July 22, bloodhounds were requested to a Glastonbury home after troopers got reports of a missing woman with Alzheimer’s, according to a July 25 Facebook post by state police.

A K-9 dog started at the woman’s home and followed her scent for 2.7 miles, troopers said.

She was eventually found in a marsh with a leg injury and unable to walk, troopers said.

Troopers were able to transport the woman from the woods, and she was sent to a local hospital for treatment, the state police said.

Glastonbury is about a 10-mile drive southeast from Hartford.
