A 17-year-old was killed in a hit-and-run wreck in Oregon, police said.

A driver accused of crashing into three 17-year-olds who were changing a tire may no longer be in the U.S., Oregon police said.

An arrest warrant has been issued for the 34-year-old man from Tillamook, who’s “believed to have left the country,” Oregon State Police said in a July 23 news release.

The man was driving a Honda Civic on a Tillamook highway at around 3 a.m. on July 12 when he went off the road and hit the teens, who were changing a flat on a Nissan Altima parked on the shoulder, police said, citing a preliminary investigation.

All three teens were seriously hurt, and one later died, police said.

Another teen who was in the Nissan wasn’t hurt, according to police, who didn’t release the names of any of the teens.

The Honda’s driver kept going after the collision, police said.

Tillamook is about a 75-mile drive west from Portland.
