Lucky lottery player will ‘party like no other’ after top prize win in Virginia
A Virginia woman bought five lottery tickets for a new game that caught her eye, then she won a top prize, lottery officials said.
Nicole Humphrey, of Hampton, won a $100,000 top prize in the Clue game after buying five tickets at $5 each, the Virginia Lottery said in a June 6 news release.
“I’ve been up all night checking every five minutes just to make sure it doesn’t disappear!” she told lottery officials the next day while claiming her prize.
When asked how she plans to celebrate the win, she said she was “going to party like no other,” according to the lottery.
The odds of winning the top prize in the Clue game — which started May 6 — are 1 in 1,101,600, lottery officials said.
Prizes range between $5 and $100,000, according to the game’s web page.
