Man blindfolded teen, put her in his car and sexually assaulted her, OR cops say
A 40-year-old man is accused of blindfolding a teen girl, then sexually assaulting her in his car in Oregon, deputies said.
Michael Winkelhake was arrested June 10 on 23 charges, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Winkelhake first started talking to the girl online in 2018 when she 13 years old, deputies said.
He went by the name Jeff and told her he was younger, deputies said.
At the time, he had her send him sexually explicit photos, which he used “to blackmail her into maintaining an online relationship,” deputies said.
She met the Hillsboro man in person in 2021 in the Oak Grove area when she was 16, deputies said.
Deputies said Winkelhake would wear a ski mask or face covering during meetups to hide his identity.
He would also blindfold her, put her in his car and drive her to parks where he would sexually assault her, deputies said.
Investigators said the sexual assaults went on for four years.
Winkelhake was arrested on numerous charges, including:
First-degree rape
Third-degree sex abuse
First-degree encouraging child sex abuse
Luring a minor
It’s believed Winkelhake may have more victims, deputies said.
He is 6 feet, 3 inches tall; weighs 200 pounds; and has red hair and blue eyes.
He goes by the names Jeff, Don Jon and Marc, and he has two vehicles: a white 2019 Nissan Frontier and a black 2002 Volkswagen Golf.
Winkelhake is believed to have multiple social media accounts on AntiLand, Facebook and Instagram. AntiLand is an anonymous chat room.
