A Virginia lottery player matched five numbers to win $1,000 a week per life, lottery officials said.

The winning lottery ticket — worth $1,000 a week for life —was purchased at a grocery store in Marion, about a 166-mile drive northwest from Charlotte, North Carolina, according to the Virginia Lottery.
The Cash 4 Life drawing was Tuesday, May 12, and the numbers were 7, 15, 23, 28, 37, and the Cash Ball was 1, according to the game’s national web page.
The lucky player matched the first five numbers to win, lottery officials said.
Cash 4 Life tickets cost $2 to play, and the winner has 180 days from the date of the draw to collect their prize, according to the lottery.
