Powerball player wins $2 million prize. Where in US was the lucky ticket sold?
A Powerball ticket sold in New York won $2 million but just missed the $101 million jackpot, lottery officials say.
The ticket matched five winning numbers and the Power Play but not the Powerball in the drawing Monday, April 14, the New York Lottery said.
The lucky ticket was sold at a Speedway in Ozone Park, a neighborhood in the Queens borough of New York City, lottery officials said.
Nobody won the grand prize, which rises to an estimated $113 million, with a cash value of about $50.6 million, for the next drawing Wednesday, April 16, the national Powerball site said.
The winning numbers were 3, 20, 30, 52 and 62, with a Powerball of 1, the lottery said. The Power Play multiplier was 3x.
More than 290,000 other Powerball tickets sold in the United States also won prizes ranging from $4 to $150,000, the lottery said.
The Powerball jackpot was last won March 29, when a California player hit the $527 million grand prize, lottery officials said.
