While accepting the CinemaCon Vanguard award and teasing the highly anticipated Freaky Friday sequel, Freakier Friday, actress Lindsay Lohan opened up about her career and her priorities.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight on Saturday, April 5, Lohan talked about the “longevity” of her career and ability to make classic film after classic film.

“Whenever I pick a film, I want to do something that makes people laugh and has a good message and I’m a true believer in that we can always make films like that,” the 38-year-old mom of one said of her repertoire.

“I’ve been really blessed to work with great directors, and Disney has been really good to me my whole career. And so I just I feel really lucky, and it shows to me that, you know, we’re more resilient than we think we are.”

After dealing with several legal issues in the early 2000s, Lohan began her second act in 2014 when she released a self-titled docuseries called Lindsay.

In November 2021, Lohan got engaged to her boyfriend of two years, businessman Bader Shammas. They wed several months later in July 2022.

A year later, in July 2023, Lohan and Shammas welcomed their only child into the world, a son named Luai.

In the same interview with Entertainment Tonight, Lohan said life is very “different” now that she’s a mom and a wife.

“I mean, priorities change. Obviously, everything is based around what’s going to work for my family, my husband and my son, and then everything will fall into place the way it’s supposed to, I feel,” Lohan explained, adding that “nothing else matters.”

Despite being in the public eye since she was a child herself, Lohan and Shammas have kept their son away from the limelight since his birth.

Lohan gave her fans a glimpse into her family of three in January when she shared photos of Luai at the zoo.

The photos showed Luai in Shammas’ arms and walking around in a giraffe hat while holding Lohan’s hand.

In 2023, shortly after welcoming Luai into the world, Lohan wrote on Instagram that “having a baby is the greatest joy in the world!”

Freakier Friday is set to premiere August 8.
