Alec Baldwin’s daughter quizzes him on ‘Gen Alpha slang’ words: ‘Most informative day’
With more than 50 years between him and his daughter, Carmen, there is a lot Alec Baldwin can learn from his pre-teen child.
And Carmen, 11, proved just that during the upcoming episode of their reality show, “The Baldwins.”
In a sneak peek clip of its March 30 episode, Carmen is seen sitting on Baldwin’s lap as she quizzes the 66-year-old on various Gen Alpha slang words and their meanings.
“Hey y’all! Today we’re going to be doing my dad’s slang words,” Carmen says in the clip shared with Access Hollywood, “even as somebody who doesn’t really use that much Gen Alpha slang.”
Carmen first asks Baldwin, “Dad, what does ‘ick’ mean?”
Baldwin replies, saying, “Gross.”
“Kind of,” Carmen told her dad. “‘Ick’ kind of means red flag. What does ‘Sigma v. Beta’ mean?”
“They’re numbers in the Greek alphabet. Alpha, beta…” Baldwin notes before Carmen cuts him off. “No. ‘Sigma’ means like good and ‘Beta’ means like bad.”
Unfazed by his lack of knowledge, Baldwin admits “This has been the most informative day of my life, by the way. It’s amazing.”
Carmen then asks Baldwin what “spill the tea” means, a term he is well aware of, before asking him the meaning of the “frat boy word” cap.
“You pooped in your pants? You capped your pants?” Baldwin quipped. “No, it means lie,” Carmen corrects him as she chuckled.
Carmen then concluded the quiz with two more terms, “simp” and “gyatt.”
“‘Simp’ means stupid, right?” Baldwin said with confidence, to which Carmen responded with an eye roll.
“No. It basically means if there’s a girl, you’re simping over her,” Carmen continued before sharing one of her brother’s celebrity crushes. “My brother’s celebrity crush is Jenna Ortega. So Jenna? My brother loves ya.”
As for “gyatt,” Baldwin did know that one.
“It means your giant butt,” responds Baldwin.
“Exactly, it’s a big, bodacious gyatt,” says Carmen.
“Alright, that’s exciting,” Baldwin ended the quiz. “Thank you so much. That’s been fantastic. Thank you so much, Carmen.”
