An Ohio woman was arrested after deputies say she stabbed two women and stole their car after setting a fire outside their West Georgia home.

Desjavae Conway, 34, faces multiple charges — including home invasion, armed robbery and arson — in the March 12 incident in Hogansville, according to the Troup County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called at approximately 4:50 a.m. about a break-in and fire, authorities said in a news release. Firefighters and deputies arrived to find a small building burning in the home’s front yard.

Inside the home, deputies said there were two women who had been stabbed.

Investigators believe Conway set the building ablaze, broke into the women’s home and, “for unknown reasons,” stabbed them repeatedly with a pair of scissors.

She then stole their car and drove away, according to deputies.

The conditions of the injured women were unknown as as of March 14.

“It is not believed that Conway knew the victims nor what her motive was at this time,” the sheriff’s office said.

Authorities arrested her soon after on charges of home invasion, arson, armed robbery and two counts of aggravated assault, according to the release.

Conway, from Dayton, remained in the Troup County Jail without bond as of March 14, online records show.

Deputies didn’t release additional details but said the investigation is ongoing.

Troup County is about a 50-mile drive southwest from downtown Atlanta.
