A Georgia lottery player was one number shy of the Powerball jackpot but still walked away with a huge prize.

A Woodstock resident won $150,000 after matching four numbers and the Powerball with the Power Play option in the drawing Wednesday, March 5, the Georgia Lottery said. They bought the lucky ticket on the lottery’s mobile app.

The player would’ve won $50,000 but spent an extra dollar on the multiplier option, tripling the winnings.

Another Powerball player won $50,000 on a ticket sold at a Tallapoosa gas station, officials said.

The winning numbers Wednesday were 24-28-40-63-65 and red Powerball 20, according to the Powerball website. The Power Play multiplier was 3x.

There were no $1 million or $2 million winners, and no one won the estimated $295 million jackpot, results show.

The next Powerball drawing is March 8 with a $320 million grand prize.

Winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes and are encouraged to sign the back of their ticket, the Georgia Lottery said.

Woodstock is about a 30-mile drive northwest from downtown Atlanta.

What to know about Powerball

To score the jackpot in the Powerball, a player must match all five white balls and the red Powerball.

Tickets can be bought on the day of the drawing, but sales times and price vary by state.

Drawings are broadcast Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:59 p.m. ET and can be streamed online.

Powerball is played in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
