Ben Affleck has perfect dad response when son Sam picks up $6,000 pair of sneakers

While at the Got Sole sneaker convention in Los Angeles with his 13-year-old son, actor Ben Affleck learned he passed on his love of sneakers.

In a video shared on Got Sole’s Instagram page, Ben and son Samuel shared with fans their favorite sneaker — and their expensive taste.

While talking with one of the content creators, Samuel revealed he has two favorites when it comes to sneakers. “Favorite sneaker? That’s really hard,” he admitted.

“Probably either the (Nike) Air Diors, or those, the (Nike) Air Red Octobers,” he continued.

Upon walking into the convention, Samuel spotted the Air Diors at the first table they stopped at — and in his size no less.

But when Ben learned the price of his son’s favorite shoe, he had a typical dad response.

“You just like those because they’re expensive,” Ben said, after hearing the shoes cost $6,000.

“No, they’re tough,” Samuel responded. “I always said they look good.”

“That’s a lot of lawns you gotta mow there,” the dad of three said.

Fans in the comments applauded Ben for sharing his interests with Samuel.

“Great dad move! Love when parents get their kids involved in their hobbies,” one commenter wrote.

“Sam had expensive taste. … W dad for having fun with his kid,” another fan wrote.

As far as Ben’s favorite shoe, he said, “You know, I can’t just pick just one. Depends on day to day,” he explained.

Samuel, however, suggested that his dad “loves the (Nike) De La Soul SB’s.”

“I do like those a lot,” Ben said.
