House for sale in PA will delight Millennials and Gen X’ers. ‘That Blockbuster room goes hard’
On the outside, this all brick, three-bedroom, two-bathroom home looks pretty unsuspecting: With its stylish, navy shutters, picket white fenced area around the side porch, and surrounding trees, it comes off as almost fairy tale-like.
But inside? Well, the interior brings to mind Friday and Saturday nights at home as a Gen X or Millennial raised child with one word — Blockbuster.
Yes, this 1,850-square-foot residence, which is listed for $384,900, has its very own Blockbuster video store inside from the look of the photos. Amid the hardwood floors and the colorful walls, the dining area has a sizable movie collection and nostalgic, pop culture decor themed around the popular video rental shop that went out of business starting in 2010. There’s only one location still open in Bend, Oregon.
However wild the area in the house is, it’s not mentioned in the listing on Zillow.
“Easy living and entertaining are wonderful due to the flow of the first floor, multiple outdoor spaces, a lower-level family room, and the first-floor powder room,” the listing says.
“The updated kitchen features a timeless subway backsplash, stainless appliances, tile flooring, and granite countertops! Upstairs, don’t miss the cedar closet, and built-in linen cabinet in addition to the three bright bedrooms!”
The home was featured on Zillow Gone Wild, a Facebook page that highlights unique houses on the real estate market all over the country.
“This family had FUN in this house!” one person said.
“NGL, if the movie collection & Slimer comes with it I think I’m all in!” another pointed out.
“My little GenX heart skipped a beat,” someone commented.
“Laundry room needs work but that Blockbuster room goes hard,” one person joked.
