A gambler made a small bet on a slot machine in Connecticut and won a life-changing prize.

The visitor sat at an Egyptian Jewels slot machine at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, the casino said in a Feb. 24 Facebook post.

The player bet $1.25, hit spin and watched as the symbols flashed across the machine.

A jackpot message appeared saying the gambler had won $186,718.39.

“Now that’s luck!” one person commented on Facebook.

“Congratulations! I’d save some for future Mohegan visits and invest the rest,” another person wrote.

“I would get down on my knees and kiss the ground since I play there pretty much every week now for the last 30 years and still have never hit a jackpot! And I bet more then $1.25,” another person wrote.

“That is the dream. Congrats to the winner,” someone else said.

The Mohegan Sun is in Uncasville, about a 45-mile drive southeast from Hartford.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.
