An Alabama man found dead underneath his vehicle had several injuries from hogs, reports said.
The man was identified by Piedmont police as 51-year-old Steven Kyle Satterfield, the Calhoun Journal reported Feb. 19.
“The Piedmont Police Department extends our condolences to the friends and family of Mr. Satterfield,” Chief of Police Nathan Johnson told the outlet. “Until the autopsy is complete, no additional information is available.”
Officers said they responded to a property in Piedmont at about 3:30 p.m. Feb. 17, when they found the man dead, surrounded by hogs he owned, AL.com reported.
According to the Calhoun County Coroner’s Office, Satterfield’s cause of death is unclear, AL.com reported. The coroner said it’s unknown if the man suffered a medical event before being attacked by the hogs.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
