An Ohio man was charged after officials said his 3-year-old daughter was mauled to death by dogs in his care.

Warren Houston is charged with involuntary manslaughter, endangering children and reckless homicide, according to Hamilton County court records, WXIX reported.

Attorney information was not available for Houston.

On Dec. 27, Houston woke up, walked into the living room and found his 3-year-old daughter, Kingsley Wright, dead on the floor, the Cincinnati Inquirer reported.

“There’s blood everywhere, I don’t know what happened,” Houston told dispatchers, according to WXIX. “I don’t understand what went on.”

Kingsley had been mauled to death by Houston’s pet dogs, WKRC reported.

“She’s completely tore apart,” Houston said during a 911 call, the Cincinnati Inquirer reported.

Dispatchers told Houston to put away any pets before police arrived, and he said there were terriers in the home, but they were already in their cages, according to the news outlet.

Officials found two large dogs and one small dog in the home, according to WKRC.

Kingsley was a “happy girl with a beautiful laugh and smile,” her obituary said.

“I’m not going to get to see her sing or dance anymore,” her mother, Gina Smith, told WLWT in December. “I just want to know why and how.”
