Cracker Barrel is making room for more menu offerings this spring.

The eatery, known for its down-home country cuisine, introduced a slate of sweet and savory dishes on its new seasonal menu, which rolled out in restaurants nationwide Feb. 11.

Customers can get their first forkfuls of the new Oreo-stuffed cheesecake pancakes as the fluffy breakfast staple “takes center stage” on menus, Cracker Barrel said.

The dessert-breakfast mashup — made with a cheesecake filling, whipped cream, chocolate syrup and Oreo cookie pieces — is a twist on the restaurant’s popular strawberry cheesecake pancakes, according to a news release.

Breakfast lovers looking for a more traditional spread can try the new signature pancake platters.

The pancakes are available in six toppings — blueberry, pecan, chocolate chip, fresh strawberry, cinnamon spiced apples and country peach — and are served alongside eggs and a choice of bacon or sausage.

Earlier this month, Cracker Barrel assured customers that its egg prices “are staying put,” despite skyrocketing costs and shortages caused by an avian flu outbreak. Restaurants including rival Waffle House are feeling the pinch and have begun charging customers extra for eggs.

“Well, there’s nothing hospitable about that,” Cracker Barrel said. “At Cracker Barrel, country hospitality is as important to us as a hearty breakfast — and that means not charging extra for eggs.”

Among savory options on the seasonal menu is a new Louisiana-style shrimp skillet and shrimp n’ grits, according to the release. The skillet comes with grilled shrimp in a creole sauce and is served with seasoned rice, bread for dipping and a side.

Also made with the zesty creole sauce, the shrimp n’ grits features “Andouille sausage, sweet onions, celery and red peppers served over rich n’ creamy ‘dinner-style’ grits,” Cracker Barrel said.

Pricing information wasn’t immediately available.

Other seasonal offerings include:

  • Onion petals with Country Comeback Sauce
  • Strawberry icebox pie
  • Pancake latte
  • Strawberry peach lemonade and spritzer
