Hoda Kotb teases her next step in life and it includes Joanna Gaines

Is Hoda Kotb already planning her return?

Less than a month after the Today Show and its fans said goodbye to Kotb, the mom of two is teasing her next move.

On Wednesday, Feb. 5, Kotb, 60, took to Instagram to share a few images with former HGTV star Joanna Gaines and a brief, yet cryptic, note.

“Remember I was talking about repotting,” Kotb said alongside several images of herself with Gaines, 46, and her crew. “Gotta take first steps.”

“We have something fun cooking! Come along on the great adventure. Stay tuned. I love Joanna Gaines.”

In the comments, fans were overjoyed to learn about this next step for Kotb, whatever it may be.

“Let’s go!!! So incredibly proud of you,” Gaines wrote in the comments.

“Missing you and loving this,” her former co-host Jenna Bush Hager added.

“Can’t wait and ALSO you look fab,” another comment read.

“Ms. Hoda I love that you are LIVING YOUR LIFE honey!!!” a commenter added.

Over the last three weeks, Kotb has kept her fans apprised of her goings on via Instagram, showing herself taking her daughters to school and meeting up with her former Today colleagues.

Kotb retired from Today on Jan. 10, saying it was time for her to spend more time with her girls, Haley and Hope, and her mom, Sameha Kotb.

“My broadcast career has been beyond meaningful, a new decade of my life lies ahead, and now my daughters and my mom need and deserve a bigger slice of my time pie,” she wrote in the letter sharing her decision with her colleagues back in September.

“I will miss you all desperately, but I’m ready and excited,” she added.

Her first post into her retirement was a photo of herself and her daughter during morning drop off.

She later shared another set of photos soon after showing off “another regular, ordinary, spectacular day.”
