A Powerball player was one number shy of the estimated $268 million jackpot but still netted a big prize, according to the Georgia Lottery.

The lucky player won $50,000 after matching four numbers and the Powerball drawn Saturday, Jan. 11, results show.

The winning ticket was sold at the Good Hope Food Mart in Good Hope, the Georgia Lottery said.

The winning numbers in Saturday’s drawing were 03-06-32-37-65 and red Powerball 04, according to the Powerball website. The Power Play option was 3x.

There were no $2 million winners, though someone in New Jersey matched all five numbers to win a $1 million prize, results show. The Powerball jackpot rolled to an estimated $285 million for the next drawing after no one snagged the grand prize.

Winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes and are encouraged to sign the backs of their tickets, the Georgia Lottery said.

The next Powerball drawing is Monday, Jan. 13.

Good Hope is about a 20-mile drive southwest from downtown Athens.
