During the 2025 Golden Globes on Jan. 5, Sofia Vergara and Jodie Foster were both nominated for Female Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, Made For TV Moment.

In the end, Foster took home the Golden Globe.

As Foster made her way up to accept her award, Vergara could be heard yelling in the background.

Vergara was pretending to be mad for not winning, having lost to Foster before.

This is Foster’s fourth Golden Globe win. Vergara has five nominations but no wins.

“No, no! Not again! Give me one,” she yelled as Foster said, “I know, I know.”

Foster then went on to say, “You know, the greatest thing about being this age and being in this time is having a community of all these people, especially you Sofia.”

Fans loved the “real” interaction between the two actresses.

“She’s too real for that,” one commenter wrote.

“She’s a whole comedy show, and I’m here for it,” another added, while some commenters argued, “Petition to give Sofia an honorary Golden Globe just for this moment.”

This isn’t the first time Vergara lost an award to Foster. According to E! News, Vergara and Foster were again up against each other at the 2024 Emmy Awards.

As Foster continued her 2025 Golden Globes acceptance speech, the mom of two shared a rare statement about her sons, 26-year-old Charlie and 23-year-old Kit.

“Kit, my scientist son and Charlie, my actor son who’s starting his career,” she shared with the audience. “Hopefully you understand the joy, such joy that comes from doing really hard, meaningful, good work.”

“My boys, I love you and this, of course, is for you. And the love of my life, Alex. Thank you, forever.”
