Josh Hall talks about ‘tough year’ in new Instagram post after HGTV video is released

On Jan. 2, HGTV shared another sneak peek of its new show “The Flip Off,” featuring Christina Haack, Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae El Moussa.

The clip featured Josh Hall and Haack in a vehicle, where he calls her “rude” for not responding to him.

Now, Hall has shared a rare Instagram post talking about how “rough” of a year 2024 was for him.

“2024 was a tough year but it’s taught me a lot,” he began alongside a photo of himself in an infinity pool.

“It helped me grow and be stronger than I’ve ever been. Sometimes the tough situations can change you. You end up becoming a different person. A better version of yourself. You learn things about yourself you didn’t know before. It has opened my eyes to many things,” Hall continued.

“Even though it was tough, I know that it taught me many lessons and for that I’m grateful. I always tell myself that God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers.”

And although last year included his separation from Haack, he added that the year “wasn’t all bad” because “in these tough situations, I realized who is really there for you.”

“These people become your pillars in life. They stand by you. They understand when you need space. They’ve got you even if it at this moment in time, you don’t have them. I will forever be grateful for my community who continue to love me, support me and those special ones who came into my life,” Hall wrote.

“Here’s to 2025, a new year, a fresh start,” he concluded his statement, “and a chance to write a new book with some new beginnings. This WILL be my best year yet.”

Hall was expected to be featured in “The Flip Off” alongside Haack, Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae El Moussa prior to the news of their divorce.

Now, while also following the house-flipping competition between Haack, Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae El Moussa, the show will also reveal the end of Haack and Hall’s marriage.

In the first teaser, Haack is seen revealing her separation from Hall to her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa.

“We had a blow up,” Haack revealed, “middle fingers in my face.”

“Things with Josh have been bad for a long time,” she told Tarek El Moussa. “The kids literally asked me to leave. They told me he’s not nice to me.”
