A Fantasy 5 player tested their luck — and snagged a six-figure prize.

Someone in Lilburn hit the $479,039 jackpot after matching all five numbers drawn Thursday, Dec. 19, according to the Georgia Lottery.

The winning ticket was sold at a Fast Freddy’s Food Mart in Lilburn, officials said. The player beat odds of 1 in 850,668 to win the game’s grand prize.

The winning numbers Dec. 19 were 01-03-20-33-36.

It’s the latest in a string of big lottery wins in the Peach State. A Powerball player narrowly missed the estimated $71 million jackpot but still won $100,000 in the Dec. 18 drawing, McClatchy News reported.

Winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize, and players are encouraged to check and sign the back of their ticket, the Georgia Lottery said.

Lilburn is about a 20-mile drive northeast from downtown Atlanta.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
