A poker player won a massive jackpot at a Pennsylvania casino with the rarest hand in the game.

The 62-year-old man from Nassau County, New York, went to the Mount Airy Casino Resort before Thanksgiving, the casino said in a Dec. 6 news release.

He sat at a Texas Hold ‘Em poker table and ended up with a royal flush in clubs, the casino said.

His luck won him the $466,296 jackpot.

A royal flush is the rarest hand in poker and “the best possible five-card you can make,” according to Upswing Poker.

To make a royal flush, a player needs to land a 10, jack, queen, king and ace in the same suit.

Another player scored a big jackpot of $541,780 at a table game earlier this year, the casino said.

Mount Airy Casino Resort is in Mount Pocono, in the northeastern part of the state.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
