Prince Harry reveals how he feels about raising his two kids in the US
During his latest outing, Prince Harry opened up about his two children.
Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, moved from London to California with their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, in 2020.
The following year, Harry and Megan welcomed their daughter, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.
While talking with DealBook founder Andrew Ross Sorkin at the The New York Times’ 2024 DealBook Summit in New York City on Dec. 4, Harry opened up about raising his kids while living in the United States.
“I very much enjoy living here and bringing up my kids here,” he shared, revealing that there are different things he can do in the U.S. with his children that he “undoubtedly wouldn’t be able to do in the U.K.,” People reported.
“I’ve had a lived experience since I was a kid,” Harry explained while talking about the British press. “I’ve seen stories written about myself that aren’t exactly based on reality. I’ve seen stories about members of my family, friends, strangers, all sorts of people.”
“And I think when you grow up within that environment, you do find yourself questioning the validity of the information but also what other people are thinking of that as well, and how dangerous it can be over the course of time,” Harry continued.
Harry added that he hopes to sit down with media companies to discuss keeping the kids of celebrities safe.
Because after all, the “main goal” for Harry is “being the best husband and dad that I can be,” People reported.
Harry shared a similar sentiment on his 40th birthday in September.
“The best gift I’ve ever been given is, without doubt, my kids. I enjoy watching them grow every single day and love being their dad,” Harry told People.
He told the BBC his children have “only made me more driven” to better the world.
“I was anxious about 30, I’m excited about 40. Whatever the age, my mission is to continue showing up and doing good in the world,” Harry told the outlet.
