Erin Andrews calls out social media troll saying she’s ‘too old’ for TV
Erin Andrews is calling out a tweet on X.
On Thanksgiving Day, longtime sports reporter Erin Andrews worked the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants game.
Following the Cowboys’ win, Andrews interviewed Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown. Fox Sports shared the conversation on X.
Alongside the video came the comments.
And one comment in particular caught Andrews’ attention.
“Erin Andrews is too old now,” the X user wrote Nov. 29. “Can visibly see the wrinkles on the HD. It’s been a great run for Erin, but it’s time for a younger blonde/brunette to take over.”
Several days after the comment was posted, Andrews responded.
“Don’t even think you need HD to see them,” Andrews said on Dec. 3, unapologetically. “But appreciating you pointing them out, bud!”
And her fans were quick to defend her. One comment pointed out that “so does Terry Bradshaw. Howie has a few. Troy Aikman. Chris Collinsworth. Etc…”
Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Troy Aikamn, and Chris Collinsworth are retired NFL players, who have also become seasoned sportscasters, much like Andrews.
“You are the G.O.A.T. of sideline reporters & arguably one of the best sportscasters of all time. Don’t let nonsense like this get to you,” another commenter wrote.
“OMG I cannot believe someone took the time to post that ridiculous comment. Erin is amazing and beautiful,” said another.
