Janelle Brown of ‘Sister Wives’ shows how she kept late son with her on Thanksgiving
Janelle Brown is opening up about how she honored her late son, Garrison Brown, during the first major holiday without him.
The “Sister Wives” star took to Instagram on Dec. 1 to share the photo of Garrison Brown that she kept with her throughout her Thanksgiving celebration.
Garrison Brown died in March.
“First of the ‘big’ holidays without you sweetheart,” she wrote in the Instagram caption. “We all gathered in (North Carolina) to celebrate together and kept your photo close by.”
Janelle Brown added that she and their family “laughed about your silly sense of humor and told so many stories honoring you.”
“We ate, played games and enjoyed each other’s company,” she continued. “Everyone is returning home now and normal life resumes tomorrow. But I feel you close by.”
In the comments, her followers praised the mom of six for her strength.
“I need some of your strength and hope! My husband unexpectedly passed away Thanksgiving morning and I am devastated,” one person shared.
“I’m so sorry Janelle. I do know how (you’re) feeling. It been 4 years since my son passed away and it’s hard during the holidays. I wished I had a large family and I had more children. You are handling things the way I wish I could,” another person added.
Garrison Brown was just 25 years old at the time of his death.
Leading up to the holiday, Janelle Brown shared a photo of her family preparing for their holiday shopping at a grocery store.
“Grocery shopping with them definitely looks different these days compared to when they were little,” she wrote alongside a laughing emoji.
