Meghan Trainor admits she ‘messed up’ by getting too much Botox. ‘I can’t unsee it’
Meghan Trainor isn’t happy with the results from her recent Botox procedure.
The 30-year-old “Lips Are Movin” singer admitted as much during a Nov. 20 episode of her “Workin’ On It with Meghan Trainor & Ryan Trainor” podcast.

“I got too much Botox and I need help,” she said on the podcast alongside her brother, who is also her,, and husband, Daryl Sabara.
“I messed up,” she added.
The mother of two went on to explain that she has undergone a “handful” of Botox procedures over the years, but those sessions primarily focused on her forehead.
Her latest run-in with Botox was meant to make her lips appear larger, but that didn’t happen.
“Someone convinced me with my little lips that if you did a ‘lip flip’ … that you could have a beautiful flip on your upper lip and I could have one for the first time in my whole 30 years of living,” she said.
“It was not true,” she quipped.
A lip flip is a procedure that uses Botox “to relax a muscle in the upper lip, causing the lip to ’flip’ and giving the appearance of a fuller upper lip,” according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Not only did Trainor not get the lips she wanted, but she says she now struggles to smile properly as a result.
“Also, I cannot smile anymore,” she said as she turned to the camera and gave her best version of a smile.
Trainor goes on to reveal that her brother was the first to point out how different her smile looked after getting the procedure.
“And now I can’t unsee it,” she said of her brother’s realization. “Everywhere I go I cannot smile. My face hurts to smile, to even try.”
Trainor then shared a photo of herself holding a dog at a shelter. She said she was a “happy person” in the photo but admitted that she doesn’t look happy.
“I look like I smelled someone’s fart,” she joked on the podcast.
As for the lesson learned, Trainor had one simple message for her fans and followers: “Don’t try everything.”
Despite having a negative experience with the lip flip procedure, Trainor says she isn’t done making changes to her body.
Next up: breast augmentation.
“I’ve always joked and said for years, like, ‘I can’t wait till I can get a boob job,’” she told her podcast listeners.
“It might be new for all of our listeners but I have wanted this my whole life so I’m going to have boobies that don’t look at the floor,” she continued.
After having two children in three years, Trainor says she now feels ready to take that step.
“My mommy boobies were full of milk and now they’re empty and then they’re full of milk and now they’re empty,” she explained.
“They got big, they got small, they got big, they got small. I’ve lost some weight, and I have, like, saggy sacks as boobs,” she added.
Trainor and Sabara share two sons: Riley, born Feb. 14, 2021; and Barry, born July 1, 2023. The couple tied the knot in December 2018.
