Al Roker speaks out after Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade chair mishap
Beloved “Today” show weather forecaster Al Roker is addressing his chair mishap that occurred while hosting the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
While much of America sat down to watch Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on NBC, fans couldn’t stop talking about Roker and the chair he was sitting in.
Roker, Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie hosted the parade as they usually do.
But when Roker, Kotb and Guthrie all sat together at the anchor desk, fans were quick to point out something looked a little off.
“Why are they doing Al Roker dirty like this and making him look like he’s 3 feet tall,” one tweet read.
And so many more people couldn’t stop talking about how small Roker looked next to Guthrie and Hoda.
“Why they got my mans looking like this,” another tweet read. “Someone get Al Roker an encyclopedia to sit on our something my gosh.”
Others wondered why Roker’s seat wasn’t adjusted prior to going live on camera.
“Why is Al Roker’s seat sitting so low?”
Now, Roker is speaking out about the hilarious mishap, admitting the chair situation wasn’t intentional.
“Oh, and for the record, I literally got into the chair :03 before the commercial break ended,” Roker explained in an Instagram post alongside a photo from the broadcast.
“And we discovered the seat was too low. And, it. was. Funny!!” he continued.
“That’s the beauty of live TV, but thanks to all of you who had my back. You are just another reason why I’m thankful.”
